SAT Video Friday Practice Test Tips
1. Simulate test day conditions as much as possible Got a favorite song that just pumps you up? Always like to snack while studying? How about texting? We all like to text. Well, when you are at home taking a practice test, donââ¬â¢t. Thatââ¬â¢s right. Donââ¬â¢t text, sing, munch on Doritos or listen to that ubiquitous ââ¬Å"Happyâ⬠song. Besides the requisite bathroom breakââ¬âbecause there is no need for downright tortureââ¬âyour derriere should be parked on your chair knocking out an SAT. Because thatââ¬â¢s exactly how it is going to be test day. And if you really want to simulate conditions, wake up Saturday morning at 8 and take a full-length practice test. This piece is only for the truly agro. 2. Only use College Board There are dozens of companies that have SAT mock tests. None of them are the real thing. So if you want to know what sitting through a real SAT is like and what score you would actually get, open up to one of the ten actual SAT tests in the College Boardââ¬â¢s big blue book. 3. Review Mistakes Donââ¬â¢t just take the test and grade it (though thatââ¬â¢s the first step). Once youââ¬â¢ve finished try to figure out what you missed. One way to do this is to not mark the correct answer on a question you missed. Just mark the question as wrong, and then try to figure it out the second time around, determining why your original answer is wrong and what you think, the second time around, the answer is. Then, check the actual answer. If youve got any questions or comments about these tips, feel free to leave them below! ðŸâ¢â
